Su Bin is the son of Hua Guofeng, former leader of the People’s Republic of China.
He graduated from the National Defense University of the People’s Liberation Army and once served as a cadre in the Beijing Garrison before retiring.
After retirement, Su Bin has been mainly engaged in real estate development, equity investment, and corporate mergers and acquisitions.
From 2005 to 2009, he served as Co-Chairman of the China Coal and Coke Investment Fund; starting in 2007, he became Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Energy and Mineral Resources Association; and in July 2010, he was appointed Non-Executive Director of E-Commodities Holdings (formerly known as Winsway Coking Coal Holdings).
With both military and business experience, Su Bin transitioned from his service background to focus on the capital and energy industries.
